Fair enough.. If you're towing a boat or trailer every now and then, I still feel like it'll get the job done as long your going across town to your nearest campsite/lake. If your a full time RV'er, then get a 2500 with a bigger diesel.

Some configs can tow 9200 pds. We're talking about half of that... also, I never towed that heavy but I never had a problem and didn't feel anywhere like the truck was struggling with 4K pds.

That's a loaded question, but we've got plenty of threads here with opinions :D

Welcome, those numbers are within the range of the EcoDiesel.. it shouldn't have a problem with either.

Welcome. I haven’t experienced your issue but it sounds like something the dealer should honor if it’s in a reasonable timeframe. Hopefully someone else has more info for you here!

Good info! Glad it was only the fuse.. from reading the other thread it sounds like that's the best plan in cold climates.

Not to get off topic on the EPA and tuners, but yes... they have went after MANY and in return those guys stopped selling. I'm giving my personal opinion. Until those companies stop selling tuning, people is going to buy them.

None of those mentioned will work. The EcoDiesel has security restrictions that has limited the amount of tuners/devices that will work with the ECM. However, I did see a post that OBD II flashing is coming soon for the EcoDiesel, so it might be sooner than you think and a few of those devices...

Welcome! Really, the only way to tell is to have someone who tunes EcoDiesels to read the ECM and see if anything stands out. Tuners have capabilities to do this. I think you're on a good path since your out of warranty.
