I've never come across that.. I will say though, I've never let any modern diesel I've owned "Cool down" just after normal driving. I've pulled 15K+ with my last Duramax and yes, I did wait 5 or 10 minutes after getting to my destination but never on just a small load or unloaded truck.

For the purposes of cooling down the motor? Daily driving and such none, I get out and turn it off.

Welcome! You're correct.. a few different things could be causing it. Hopefully the dealer has a good tech in house that can get you up and running again!

Welcome Ian! Yea, not much out there on that code it seems. I bet your dealer will likely do a reflash and say let's see how it goes.. I would take to the dealer for sure though just to be safe.
