If you have the existing warranty, that's a piece of mind. If you plan on keeping the truck long term 5-7+ years, then I would seriously look at an extended warranty.. but that's just me.

Welcome! Each truck towing capacity varies based on gears, cab config/etc.. it's best to look it up and validate that way. However, if you're right at the edge and you do it often, it might be time for a bigger truck :) If it's a every now and then thing, you'll likely be ok.
Get the extended warranty and enjoy it! You'll have that piece of mind.. search the web for pricing on others to be sure it's priced right.

Does your current data plan have a limit? If you think you would go beyond your current data plan on your mobile phone, then perhaps it would be worth it. I just use the hotspot on my phone as I have enough data and can't justify the cost right now of adding the truck to my bill.
