EPA approval of emissions components and tuning

There is no "consumer" software out there that allows you to do this. I know of some expensive software from overseas (EU) that allows you to read out the .bin file which big tuners are using right now. The OBDII read limitation really makes it tough for your average Joe to go in and see what...

    New BFGoodrich KO2 tire

I don't get the certs myself, but I did the last time I bought tires for my Jetta. (Smaller tire == more chance of puncture in the road,etc.. and I just felt like the deal was to good to pass up). I actually had a patch last week on my Jetta, they we're able to fix it but it was nice knowing I...

EPA approval of emissions components and tuning

First off, any company selling aftermarket tuning is taking a huge risk. GDE is just one of them.. you have to look at it from the customers perspective.. more power, more fuel mileage all comes with a price.. There's a reason power is on the table that is being released by GDE and other...

Welcome Matt. Turbo sounds like a good guess at this point. Sucks it happened though! Be sure to let us know what the dealer has to say.

The truck is designed for you not to know about it. The only time you would know is if you're close to the max capacity and the truck tells you to "keep driving" etc.

Welcome to the site. I agree with John. It's always a bad feeling when your brand new truck isn't performing. Keep us updated on what the dealer says!

Germany asks EU to investigate Fiat Chrysler diesel cheating allegations

I agree with you. I have a Jetta TDI for my daily driver. It's a 2012 with 98K miles on it. The paint is starting to peel pretty badly and is driving me over the edge to go ahead and do the buy back. Unless I want to drive it until the "wheels fall off" I'm better off to sell it back as it won't...

    Hello, Regen question

It's a tough one. It really depends on how much you trust the truck. I once removed the "DPF" and other "emissions" on my last Duramax truck with 3,000K miles on it. Was I crazy? Maybe... but I never had a problem with that truck and ran great and I didn't have to worry about the emissions...
