He did get a Hemi (1500) loaner in place of his rebel. I would push the dealer to give me a loaner of at least the same thing that's getting worked on.

If it makes you guys feel any better, I have a friend that has his brand new Ram Rebel in the shop getting a new motor... It shut down while going down the highway (55 MPH)..the dealer called about a week later to let him know what happen. Ended up dropping a valve. Now he's getting a new motor.

If you're within the factory warranty, I don't know of anything that could cause you to have to pay for an emissions problem out of pocket. Unless of course you destroyed something physically.. Welcome to the community!

So, as far as resetting it..you can get a code reader and use that to reset OBDII codes. I would assume that would clear the error message for you. Hopefully someone else has more info for you.
