    2015 Engine Failure at 115K

If you had the AEM software update, the extended warranty should cover you. I would call FCA customer care and pressure them about it. Dealers are clever. They will tell you nothing is covered when you actually have it.

    Egr cooler

I was scheduled for an appointment today with loaner. The dealer said that they have no loaner as per the states rules regarding loaner vehicles. I asked them about the recall EGR cooler and was advised that her records indicated they installed a new EGR cooler back in February. I said that a...

    Egr cooler

The EGR cooler recall work I had done in February said no remedy available on the dealer invoice. The new remedy is available which is a new EGR cooler. You have to let the dealer know when you bring in the Ecodiesel for the recall. Also ask them for the latest AEM software update that will fix...

Low Oil light, shift to park, truck shut down and won't start

I would hope you have the 100,000 mile max care warranty. The AEM software update actually provides better coverage with no deductible and other benefits like car buyback after 30 days and loaner.

    You wont believe this...

The EGR coolers are a major problem. I am scheduled again for another EGR cooler. It sounds like someone missed a few steps fixing it. Bring it back to the dealer ASAP insist on a loaner. Don’t let the dealer play games.

    Getting impatient

I haven’t submitted my $3,075 paperwork yet. I knew someone from May 2019 take advantage immediately of the cash money for original owners. He was furious in September when they sent him an email to re-submit the paperwork. He got it November. Apparently everyone who owned or leased jumped on...

    Dangerous after recall "fix"!

The dealers are still playing dumb when you tell them about the software update and new EGR cooler available.

    Dodge help me!!!!!!! (Lost motor)

If the vehicle did have an AEM software update. The warranty I believe is carried over to the new owner. The class action lawsuit will cover the cost. No deductible or out of pocket costs!

2015 ECO Diesel Owner - Just joined.

The Coolant smell is coming from the engine area, front passenger side. My friend who was with me hunting back in November 2019 did smell it and said I should call my dealer since I was under warranty. I have an appointment next week, hopefully the dealer doesn’t drop the ball again. My truck...

2015 ECO Diesel Owner - Just joined.

I had my EGR cooler replaced back in February and scheduled in a week for another EGR cooler. It’s hopefully the new design that I kept hearing about coming out in April. I hate the coolant smell. The EGR cooler is causing major issues with many Ecodiesel owners. Thank god my 2015 has the AEM...

    2017 EcoDiesel egr problems

The EGR cooler recall covers 2014-2019 Ecodiesel models. The 2014-2016 have an extended warranty plus additional coverage that allows for buyback and vehicle loaner in addition to cash back if you had the AEM software update. The recall on the EGR cooler should give you an opportunity to have a...

    Egr parts available

The dealer had my Ecodiesel for two months and kept saying the part is coming from another dealer. I really can’t trust dealers as they’re more geared to sell you an unnecessary service instead of trying to fulfill the recall or warranty work. The dealer still said this was the new EGR part but...

    Egr parts available

Hopefully this is the approved EGR part for the recall. I know the rumors circulating back in February was a new EGR cooler was coming out in April. Now I hope they can finally fix my 2015 Ecodiesel Big Horn.

    Egr parts available

Is this for the new EGR, I had one put in February but it’s still having the coolant odor.

Own two ecodiesels one caught fire last Saturday, FCA is no help

Did the 2016 have the AEM software update. FCA won’t help you with the engine fire, the insurance will take care of it. The current recall for the EGR cooler is trying to prevent engine fires.

2015 Ecodiesel - waiting for parts

My vehicle sat for an EGR cooler for two months. The coolant smell is still a problem hopefully they can replace it with another EGR cooler when I bring it back in again. I hear there was a new EGR part. It’s probably the AEM software update that is causing this issue for the coolant leaks...

2018 ram eco diesel blown 9300 miles

The AEM software update for 2014-2016 models have an extended warranty. If the vehicle sits more than 30 days, FCA under the class action requires a buyback. Many dealers play hardball and will tell you that the warranty doesn’t cover you. Always request a loaner vehicle when having warranty work.

    Need help

It should be covered under the AEM now if you had it done. Dealers would normally charge $175 or higher. The regen should give you an opportunity to drive it on the highway. One of the major complaints of owning the Ecodiesel.

    The Lag

Is Belinda from FCA Customer Care. I am sure she could be a big help when my vehicle is in the shop. Thanks for the help.

    The Lag

I am scheduled for a loaner in two weeks. Had the EGR cooler replaced In February and have the strong coolant smell still. The lag was terrible and complained about it. The service advisor did state that everything was operating properly. I mentioned that FCA sent me a letter for another update...
