Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

Dealers are supposed to charge you for the tone wheel if the sensor fails. The sensor and labor would be covered under the AEM. The powertrain warranty would pay for the tone wheel.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

You're correct. I should have clarified that. It seems that the sensor frequently gets taken out when the tone wheel falls apart, so that's what I'm banking on. With that said, it would be much more convenient to have it replaced under my own terms than have a failure. Not every failure is...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

That would be my guess. We have two batteries and two 30 gallon propane tanks on the front of our travel trailer, so the tongue weight is pretty heavy. It makes a huge difference if we really tighten down the bars on the WDH.

We love our Arctic Fox 22G, but I sure wished it had the larger rear window. Here's my rear window:

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

That's a nice setup! I love the large rear window that you have. There are more camping spots for smaller RVs. If your payload is 1,370 lbs, then you have 100+ lbs more than what I have on my 2015. The WDH will actually reduce some of that tongue weight. I need to buy a portable scale to...

I agree that the drivability is great, especially if the WDH is dialed in nicely. Here are a few pictures of ours:

It's certainly a risk. We've towed our travel trailer through California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. The truck derate itself once when going over a mountain pass...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

In May of 2020, I started saving $250 per month. Today, I have exactly $3,000 dollars. I have to be careful when I show my enthusiasm for the EcoDiesel. Sometimes people interpret my love for the EcoDiesel for being "high quality" or "highly reliable", etc. When people ask for my advice, I...

I really liked Shawn. His YouTube videos were/are helpful. Looking back, it's easy to place judgement or find flaws in some things that Shawn theorized, but at that time, the EcoDiesel was new and he was searching for truth. I didn't join the forum until Shawn had already passed, so I'm not...

I would like to know why he was banned from the Ram 1500 Diesel Forum.

I haven't had a chance to do any towing yet with the GDE tune, but I'm looking forward to seeing how she performs with the tune. 200,000 miles is my target goal as well. Thankfully replacement engines are fairly affordable.

I had the W58 completed last week. This week I installed the GDE EPA Compliant Tune. I'm still loving my 2015 EcoDiesel. It just turned 93,000 miles.

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

As far as I know, they are still using a rubber hose. Several people are replacing the rubber hose with a high temperature silicone hose like the one the in this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C9L9LP9/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 How many miles are on your...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I wouldn't get too discouraged. The EcoDiesel has some known problems, but there are many happy EcoDiesel owners. We had a 2006 Cummins for 10 years and loved it, but it was only useful for towing or highway travel. The 1500 EcoDiesel is more conducive as a daily driver and for light duty...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I don't remember the mileage when I had the AEM installed. It was done in May of 2019. For sure, I'm good until 120,000 miles. I'm at 93,000 at the moment.

I'm hoping that mine fails under the AEM warranty. That would save me a lot of money if it did fail.

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

I'm really hoping that my turbo coolant hose fails while I'm under the AEM warranty. Currently, I've got 93,000 miles on the truck.

Can you run B100 in deleted Ecodiesel

I would run B50 for 5,000 miles and take an oil sample. If the oil sample comes back good, then I would run B50 for 10,000 miles and pull another oil sample. If that comes back good, then I would repeat the 5,000 mile oil samples with B75 and B100.
