I plan on it. I think the messiest thing will be having a big enough container. Might fab up something with splash guards because I've seen where there's a lot force behind those 11 quarts lol.

After my first oil change I plan on using the 10 quart def container to collect my oil. I have the similar ezee drain valve mentioned. another question? I have 2 mobil1 5 quart jugs of oil left from when I had the Subaru.Subaru had 7500 mile oil change intervals and the oil was still clean looking. I know the oW-20 is too thin. I want to use one 5 quart jug of the 0w-20 and 1 5qt jug of either 10w-30 or 10w-40. Will the 2 different weights of the oil stay mixed or will they separate? solarvic

I wouldn't recommend it. Also, the EcoDiesel requires a certain SPEC oil (Can't remember off the top of my head). I wouldn't chance it all together. Just buy enough for a full change. 10.5 qts is the capacity.

I just purchased a Ram with EB.
Can I get under the truck and get to the oil plug? Also is the filter a pain in the neck to change. I like to do my own preventative maintenance.

I'm considering the Fumoto valve. Does it protrude out where it can be hit or is it tucked away and protected?

It's protected by cross member I have one on now no problems as per filter it's on side of motor but near the top.
If you YouTube it moporecodiesel has a video on the complete job with the valve in action he is also a member here .

Went to Amazon to order the recommended oil. Say they are stock out and don,t know if they will restock it. I am not going to pay my dealer $280.00 for an oil change so will have to keep looking.

Yea I'm having a tough time myself. In 2000 miles she's do for change #1. Got the filter on order from my dealership, $69 OUCH. Not having much luck with the oil, but I can order Mobil 1 from Advanced for $9.79/L. Was hoping I could find it cheaper. All the online sources are out, or have a ridiculous 6L limit. Looking at a $180 job to do it myself. Incredible. If anyone would care to share a oil source I'd be in your debt!
