Hey all,

I recently got a new 2016 Ram Laramie, and I am not so fond of the rims. Has anyone had any luck selling theirs, and for how much? Trying to make a best guess what I can get out of them, so I can offset a little of the price of new ones.

I don't know. I guess if I was in the market to upgrade an older dodge, maybe $600 tops with fresh OEM tires. Might sound cheap but I am cheap.

Usually a guy can hope for $400 a wheel and tire for used factory stuff, have some some stock superduty 20" wheels bring close to $800, but that's ludicrous

I'll give you $100. The rims are piece of crap anyway. Plastic on steel is all they are.

I was in the same boat as you, but I had Big Horn rims and tires. They had 600 miles on them when I removed them and swapped them for aftermarket. Just sold them on eBay for $1100. Hope this helps you.

$1100 really? Hard to believe you could get that much. Kudos to you.

Thanks for input guys, I will shoot for 1000$ but, if I can get 800$ I think I would be happy, there is only 600 miles on the tires so as much as I can get to offset the 2000$ I'm about to spend on new ones would be nice.

I didn't "check" the wheels before I bought my truck a few weeks ago.....I was EXTREMELY disappointed to say the least when I washed it the first time and found they were plastic chrome.

On a side note, I would have bought it regardless just to get away from the money pit BMW X5 4.8 we had........

My grandson is a wheel distributer, says plastic wheels are super. They are so easy to clean and will not tarnish. Staying with mine!!!

Just an update for anyone who is interesting it took one day to sell them and I got $900. So put a dent in the cost of new rims and tires.

I personally love the chrome clad wheels. They don't rust, and are super easy to keep clean. Then there's the ease of customization of them.....

I agree. Although after the 2nd set of tires on them wears out I will go with a new and smaller wheel just for a new look.
