Glad to find this forum as I have always loved Dodge/Ram but have never owned a diesel. Just got a new 2017 EcoDiesel and love it. Just want to know what the dos and don'ts are about these little diesels and this looks like the right place to be.

Any and all help and suggestions are welcome.

Looking forward to reviewing and posting in the forum.

Welcome Matt!

1) Always fill it up with diesel and not gas :D

But seriously, follow the owners manual for maintenance, and have a look at our maintenance section here and it should treat you right. Some folks have some bad luck, but the percentage is still small overall.

Great looking truck!

Don't do what I did. Only oil changes every 10,000 miles for a year. Totally missed the fact that Fuel filter needs changing every other oil change and it doesn't hurt to clean Exhaust filter at same time. Diesel has new rules (I too was a gas only prior to joining).
I have 62,000 good miles. Only my 30,000 1 year problem made me realize what is required. BTW - Corporate is pretty good at follow-up if you register if you have a dealer issue.

Thanks for the advice. I only have 875 miles right now :). Love the truck and will soon be considering a tune from Green Diesel Engineering. They appear to be the best for the Eco-Diesel.

Put new seat covers and wheel flares. Next will be bed liner and and tinting :).

Look to GDE sooner rather than later. I installed hot tune ECM at 39.5k miles. Here is the EGR at that mileage. Very pleased with hot tune thus far.
