Yeah merry Christmas was exactly how I felt. Couldn't stop it from happening. It was rough.

It'll be a while with the holidays and fender Benders. Lots of body damage. New Hood, fender, flare, door skin. Bumper valance. Amazingly my grill is undamaged.

Bummer jdn. Hang in there. Can you salvage your HID light setup?

I have 4 friends with these trucks, and none have had any issues, and they are around 15-20,000 miles. I have had mine for two weeks, and 1000 K. Only issue, is a possible high speed vibration at around 60 -65. Might be a driveline imbalance or something of that nature. Will have to take into a dealer.

Not by much. The ballast might be ok, my resistors are fine I think. But the igniter and bulb are obviously shot. It demolished the entire housing of the lamp

Rollingsmokediesel.com is testing and about to put a remote air cooled oil cooler to market with a block off plate like many of the others we have seen....the biggest thing is hopefully they use a proper oil filter head that you can get a very good quality filter for.

MHarrison, walk us through the steps on said install of remote oil cooler. Not step by step I guess, but what would it take? Could a run of the mill, weekend wrencher do such a thing?

Yes all you will do is basically remove your oil cooler which is simple enough to get to and bolt on their block off plate connect the new oil lines that run to the filter housing and the new radiator style cooler out front.

Thanks! And that tucks behind the grille and in front of the shutters cleanly?

Do you have a non-Facebook link to what they're working on? Sorry for all the questions, I'm genuinely curious.....

They were light on the details it was on instagram but they said the kit will be released soon after they finish some more testing this is the third design they are working with and have been happy with it stating they have kept oil Temps significantly lower than the 220 to 230's that I regularly see when I'm towing.

Are the oil coolers failing?
Is this a pervasive problem?
Is there a recall?
Are there a slug of engines grenading?

Yes oil coolers are failing, the engine failure happens if the owner does not recognize it soon enough and runs it completely out of oil. No ram doesn't have a fix or recall yet.

So bringing the truck out of town to the body shop this morning I get blessed with a check engine light on top of everything.

Just turned 20k

And of course truck is going to the body shop for 2-3 weeks so I took most personal items out including my scanner and I left it at home instead of just putting it into the other car which is following me.

So I guess a pit stop at the dealership is now in order
