I maybe run into it once every month or two depending on weather and driving habits if I'm stuck in town.
I have no edge tool so I cannot put the truck into regen while driving. I had the evic message that's it.
So I ran high rpms to force high egt's and complete a fast and complete regen...
Depending on your climate winter fronts and block heaters are common additions.
Many like the look of simply debadging.
Sport Hood is also a common alteration for anyone looking to change a whole Hood. (Wish I had thought of it my Hood was just replaced @body shop)
Otherwise just bed mats or...
Actually I've known people put add the tow hooks. Maybe call a dealer and get part numbers or just thoroughly look online for the mopar tow hooks and bumper bezels. I've seen it done before I just don't have the part numbers to reference handy.
So this morning going to work (only a mile across town) I get the lovely comment from my wife as I'm climbing out of bed at 6:30; "oh yeah the truck is at 90%" (dpf)
It's -15°F and the truck isn't even running yet. And I have to be on the clock in 25min and I have 3 dogs to get outside...
Maybe this is stupid to ask; but does anyone in cold climate or Canada in particular just wish that there was some indicator light or some simple straight forward way of telling a person if the DEF tank is frozen. Couple hours of driving in severe cold; coolant lines thaw it out no problem...
Just as many people experience the failure; many do not. I do not have an answer why. It should be an isolated issue and either across the board or none at all. The ratio of good to bad; no one except maybe fca seems to know. Obviously not enough. I've got 20k with no issues at all; build was in...
Sorry stan you took that completely out of context. I was referring to my 6 month old infant son. My child. And #2 that is due later this year.
Can't really throw them in a car that's still -10F and expect all to be okay.
You will rely solely on the aftermarket part manufacturers warranty (which will not cover nearly the cost of repairs on the ecodiesel) in case anything happens
For the price point just get the protection package. It's cheap, and say you go down a trail one day, slip and catch a rock on the oil pan, no big deal. Without it; you're looking at multiple days off the road waiting for a new pan; a new oil change at ~$150-$200 not to mention labor and lost...
Yeah I haven't had any issues yet either but I do have the concern of the DEF being froze solid and commuting to work which is just short in town drives and heavy idling for infants who need a warm vehicle, and not having enough run time to thaw that tank enough to not raise computer errors.
I...
It's not a matter of taking the eco out of it it's eliminating harmful deposits in the engine and intake mainly because egr's and ccv's are well know to throw tons of oil and carbon and suet into your intake.
The tune is about keeping your engine clean happy and healthy. And hopefully getting...
Yeah I had thought about the pre winter top off but didn't get around to it. As previously stated I'm 2 hours from a truck stop with DEF on tap. Well I happened to be there. so I gave it a shot.
With the current temps being as low as they are and not having a heated garage I wanted to add to...
Shouldn't need an alignment just lowering the straight axle but I am not sure if it uses a track bar as it might cause it to dog track if so without being adjusted, but I think if it's just using the sway bar and straight axle mounts it shouldn't have any adverse effects other than pointing up...
