The sound foam should be removed for rodents and visual inspection....It also is damaging to all the components it smoothers. Both sides of the engine foam and CP4 cover. Also the Foam is always in the way for cleaning and repairs.
Only reason this garbage is use is to lower the sound,,, IMO...

The 3.0 does well in Hwy use , its suffer greatly in DD use. with the 2014-19 engine out of production the down time in many cases is goona by Days into Weeks, Weeks into months.

My guess is the glow plug or Intake of something related to the Work.....remove the engine and check the bad hole, if injector related your on the hook for the $$$$$, if debris tell dealership to Pay ALL....
Yes...... They are like a switch, either its work or don't, and the weakest point is Idle, So if the vehicle idle's good in almost ALL cases the FCA is good.
That's the FCA..... Fuel control actuator. Its know where close to $11K to fix. and just because some contaminates are found on that screen does NOT equal fuel system failure. Your 100% need addressing... the whole fix will need to be handle by someone who know's all the work around's or you...
