did you have a tune/delete? did you have to get any additional tune once the butterfly valve was removed? did you simply remove the 2 screws and the plate that were attached to the shaft?

I would also add that if it already has that many miles on, it was well taken care and not prone to accidents he issues that 10% of owners have. Those are of course the ones we hear the most about…also, it’s great from towing and has plenty of torque. Just make sure you check the specs for that...

Took out the butterfly valve on my truck to solve the service electronic throttle control!!

Update. Back on the road! To no surprise the tone ring was the issue. Bought the replacement for $25 and had a shop do the work for a fair price. Onto tuning next! 😁

I meant covered under recall, not warrant. and the fuel pump recall hasn’t been completed, not injector pump. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I didn’t call yesterday, but I am going to in a little bit.

At my last count the Service Electronic Throttle Control message was triggered by 88 engine control situations. I do not know the capabilities of your local tuner to catch each and everyone of these situations. But I will say you need to have a real time date scanner with DTC clear capabilities...
