...home and liked the drive. Sunday morning I got up to drive it to the airport as I travel for work and I got the Service Electronic ThrottleControl message. Really never saw this when I was reviewing the truck till I looked on this site. The truck has EGR and DEF Delete already so was...
I finally got rid of my ethrottle issue... cost me a princes ransom. Had to machine the heads to extract the glow plugs, new accelerator pedal, throttle body, injectors, coolant/oil sensors and associated gaskets. Going on 3 months with no codes/limps 🤷🏻♂️
So I’m six hours away from home working on a job site and all of a sudden I get this message on my dashboard so I take it to the local Dodge dealership here in Odessa and three days later they call me and tell me they want $6000 to fix the truck, The salesman added the most expensive warranty...
Still up for sale. And yes, you're correct. The new EPA compliant tune can not touch the EGR system. Don't waste your money... If you want to prolong the life of your ecodiesel, need to shutoff that EGR asap.
rogedmonds, You certainly have something to be concerned about.
From what I've read over the various forums it seems that Ecodiesels been dependable after the current recall, mine for sure is. The first AEM recall flash was not good and it was corrected in early January. The dealer should...
...lag is dangerously bad. I'm not exactly sure what they're doing this time but I had 1.Check engine light, 2. Service electronic throttlecontrol. 3. Turbo boost pressure low. 4. Exhaust gas temperature too low. They said this time they have to completely remove the cab of the truck to fix...
...had my intake pipe come off from the turbo inlet. 2 codes triggered (P02c and P0402) in addition to the dreaded "Service Electric ThrottleControl" warning, and the truck went into limp mode. I reconnected the pipe, cleared the codes, and all is now well.
So in your case, I would make sure...
I have had the SERVICE ELECTRIONIC THROTTLECONTROL on going for about 9 months now on my 2015 ecodiesel with 180,000kms. Originally would come on every few hundred kms and vanish when I shut the vehicle off. It has since become more consistent and I can not go more than 30km (if im lucky) on...
I have had the SERVICE ELECTRIONIC THROTTLECONTROL on going for about 9 months now. Originally would come on every few hundred kms and vanish when I shut the vehicle off. It has since become more consistent and I can not go more than 30km (if im lucky) on the highway without the SETC light...
...car lot. (Owner clamed he bought it from local Ram dealership) Monday morning a check engine light came on with Service Electronic ThrottleControl on the dash. I took it back to the dealer and they told me it was Code p0299 lowboost. Im familiar with the code as I have a 5.9l Cummins. They...
...I'm grinding through some warranty replacements of intake/egr replacement/*possibly* injectors after the dreaded Service Electronic Throttlecontrol. Once I have the final p026d code worked out, I might be interested in taking that off your hands. I assume the newer GDE tune does not delete...
...the shop three or four times for this same issue. Check Engine light on 3000 RPM max no power. Also says need to service Electronic ThrottleControl. Any thoughts on it being the throttle sensor. The peddle response has always been all over the place, Some of the time its responsive other...
I get the lighting bolt, service electronic throttlecontrol, about every 100 or 150 miles.
Does it stock and does it deleted tuned. Either way.
Falls on its ass. I can pull over erase the code, goes right back to like nothing ever happened, anybody or someone have a fix for this shit.
Mostly...
...the group. I bought a 2016 ecodiesel three months ago and loved it until this past weekend when I experienced my first limp mode and service electronic throttlecontrol warning. This site was a wealth of knowledge. Thank you to those who have come before us to help guide us through the trials.
...was good for the first couple of days with a noticeable difference. After a couple days though my check engine light came on and the service throttlecontrol showed. I cleared it a couple times with my OBD2 , but eventually could not get rid of it. Disconnected the pedal commander and it was fine
...because of this.
In a pinch, I can put it in manual and try to keep the revs high that way but it's a PITA.
So my idea was to add a throttlecontrol to the dash somewhere, allowing me to park at my destination and leave it idling until regen finishes.
I believe it might need to be set...
...I bought truck new, settled on the scandal with new software and extended warranty plus $3050.00
With 93 K on odometer, I got throttlecontrol alarm, at interstate speed, felt like a big suction and noise.
Brought it to my dealer, who kind of questioned the warranty. Got a real bad feeling...
