Since after all, a diesel option is never cheap. I'm wondering how much a plain basic model single cab long bed will cost with no power options? I hope Ram doesn't run a lot of people off from high prices because of the initial cost of the diesel.

From the images posted online from multiple sources, it appears it will be. Of course the "EcoDiesel" badge will be on there.

I would imagine all the aftermarket companies are doing anything they can to get a head start. The main goal of any aftermarket company is to have products ready at launch of the vehicle. I can't wait in regards to tuning of these new trucks.

It was expected to not see a regular cab short bed for the EcoDiesel. To bad, it would be a fun little truck!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that is obtainable. Seeing how well these 3/4 tons can achieve 20 MPG in a 8000lb + truck along with a larger rotating assembly, brakes, frame, etc a lighter more efficient engine should be able to see those kind of numbers.

Some great pictures of the new 2014 Eco Diesel Ram, the motor and trans are both cutaway pictures. Of course the trans is a new 8 Speed.
