Just did my 8k oil change and I cannot believe the difference in the oil color!!! Much cleaner than ever before and it didn’t require 5 paper towels to clean off my oil plug. Went ahead and did fuel filter since I got lazy and do it last time and that was slam black. Guess I won’t be skipping that again haha
FYI - Slam black on the fuel filter is normal, it's not a sign of dirty

Roger that, normally when I changed it, it was relatively clean compared to yesterday but that was every 7k changing it instead of 16k on it.

Well, my eco did not have a good night. Tree limb fell about 40’ onto my cab. Luckily no glass was broken but the cab took the blow and the passenger rear door handle is broken along with damage to the door. I’m telling them that my truck is not to leave the body shop, since I’m not taking it to dodge for repairs that shouldn’t be a issue. 9FCE05B1-46F8-4014-BD55-F8A68E16794B.jpegBCF8F9B7-399C-4882-B132-C2205A839D63.jpegE08D1677-8A74-467B-B527-7078045B11AE.jpeg171566AE-2405-434D-A866-9B3B654C263E.jpeg0739CF0B-D157-41E9-B390-ADE9D9B58E40.jpegD3824DF4-4162-4272-8DD3-A08409DD3E16.jpeg

CLAIM UPDATE

Body shop told me at drop off I’ll most likely be receiving a new roof and pillars on the cab and be without my truck for a while. They said there should be no reason for it to be at a dealer so we shall see. On another note, it’s given me a huge need for a truck, so I decided to start my square body restoration early! TRUCK UPDATE

Talked to body shop. They are replacing the cab roof, headliner, and all pillars for the cab. They will be repairing the hood, doors, bed, and possibly a new tonneau cover if they find the tracks bent. I’d love to know what they are getting for all that through insurance. I love and miss my truck, but I’m starting to wonder if it is worth trading it in on something newer in a 2500 model since by truck has been cut and pieced back together 🤦🏻‍♂️😭😭

If the shop knows what their doing ( and been around for sometime) has lifetime warranty on the work, no need to worry.

Get 'em to cut 4-6" out of that top and you'll have a head-turning truck. Had 'em back in the late 40s and early 50s - chopped and channeled was the thing. 😁

Everything is warrantied as long as I own the truck, and I debated on dropping my cab on the square body but I like the factory look 😎
Yeah, you don't want to change the square body, it's a classic. It's looking good - nice work.

Thanks John! Got to get the body straight so I can spray it, problem is finding time! I enjoy driving it but I sure do miss being able to throw the key in the ignition and the seats cooling my ass instead of relying on the outdoor temp to try to cool my face 😂😂

At least they are keeping her inside!! I got so sad seeing it pulled apart. I showed body shop the video and the manager was speechless. He said “no wind no rain, just fell?!” I said yep and if she hadn’t been outside I would have never known until daylight when I left work

I did an SFT stage 1 on my 2017 in early July, it's been great so far, I did contact SFT about increased DEF consumption (over 5 gallons in about 3000 miles), & a little bit of hesitation stumble/ doesn't quite know what gear it quite wants(3rd gear light to moderate load & throttle), SFT said to pull the tune & send it in to modify the DEF tables, that was last week, still waiting, but not a problem, I can still run the tune. It's a totally different animal with the tune& SFT has been AWESOME. They're also gonna take a look at the shift/gear issue. For all of you guys that have a newer truck with the DEF quality sensor, the tune will allow the use of distilled water.
