So I know deleting and tuning people do for all different reasons. Some because they like the sound of the turbo spool and a str8 pipe so you can actually hear your exhaust. Others like to roll coal( not my thing, wastes fuel and horrible for the environment). And I know some people like myself...
I have a 2020 Wrangler with the 3rd gen eco diesel, im looking into the same thing with deleting and tuning but cant really find anything, I emailed GDE and they said they should have a tune out by fall, but if anyone has any leads on delete's it would be greatly appreciated.
Never heard about diluting the mix to 50/50 but I have seen some injector pumps with the crystallization having formed😳 after reading about all these issues on several forums, the full delete is what I’m scheduled for
...But it might be something some people's driving habits combined with local terrain or common scenario for them and or some transmissions tuning that helps to create & repeat this not realising they are trying to step on a possible weak spot. Certainly we can normally easily operate our truck...
...The "ED" is an amazing technical marvel. The Italians have done an awesome job and yes they have had a learning curve. If you look at all the companies that are behind the development of the "ED" you will realize that this engine is amazing but with fine tuning I believe it will be a good engine.
...assure FCA would have not paid for the motor replacement and I would have had to sue them. In my case, I avoided a lot of headaches by not tuning the motor as far as FCA not raising any issues and paying for the motor replacement under the existing warranty. The tradeoff, a truck that runs...
...inside the Throttle body and found it was pretty oily. But I can't erase the code without the dealership to see if the problem is fixed.
I will get it to the dealership to see what they say.
Any thoughts about my issue and about tuning the the Bowl of Spaghetti (BS) EGR out of the system. Thanks
Hi, I'm new here. I've been reading quite a bit lately about delete and tuning, but I'm skeptical that Minnesota may soon require emissions testing for vehicle registration. Is the a quality tune out there which bypasses EGR without full delete? Or shuts off DEF and satisfies DPF sensors? I want...
So, to remove any part of the egr, you’ll need a tune. There’s two stages of tuning, stage 1 turns off the egr and allows for its removal, a stage 2 tune requires full exhaust removal and turns off the egr and allows for its removal and is considered “off road only”
Hello all,
I am going to be going to be tuning/deleting my ED here shortly with a Sofa King Tune. Any recommendations for a good EGR delete kit along with a DPF delete kit?
Thanks
I have taken apart 3 of these engines, so I do have some extra parts, but all factory stock. Once you figure out what you are looking for, send me PM, and I'll let you know what I have. Tuning is typically the easiest way to not only get more power, but increase the longevity of the engine.
Hopefully you get some feedback here.. There isn't a huge power aftermarket for the EcoDiesel... tuning is almost the limits most push. The twin turbo kits come out, but I've only seen one truck have them.
...the tune, it will go to 50% & then up to 100% fairly quickly and I can expect a REGEN soon. It does a REGEN at about 225 miles in between them. I have seen the 80% message ONE TIME, before tuning and that prompted the gauge package, when it starts a REGEN I drive until it's done, about 10-12...
...(Jan 30, 2021). This is only the second time in 136,xxx miles that I've had a check engine light come on. Amazing. Ecorumble sent me the link to this vid (thanks brother). I've give it a whirl and see if it works.
