If the DEF is not working properly on any Bluetec engine it will impede operation of the vehicle , each manufacture decided the process.
As much as anyone would like to change the laws that govern mileage no tune will increase the MPG more than 1-3% , I can get better mileage by up grading My...
Whoever started that rumor? with No evidence or facts just go's to show how fear form sources that only sell fear.
Its extremely rare but it does happen. So does running out of fuel.....:)
Vern, it was only after 3 Years of testing the 3.0 that the evidence I did Supported tuning. No 3.0...
Yes the remaining Fluid must go, If it was as bad as you described, MAXLife is cert for the 8HP70.
Just do early drops until the fluid looks good, If you drop it today (Drain Only) it will look dirty. just some 3-5K drains 2 or 3 times will clear it up. Just measure how much you drain and replace.
If? they decide to Investigate.
I composed this a few years back .
Maybe I can clear this UP, GM All makers Must meet the certification REQUIRED by Federal Law. The instant YOU delete ON/OFF road use (The only exception to this law is Race or off road competition) GM or your Dealer cannot...
The scan tool manufacturer must be a licensee of FCA’s scan tool data.
The scan tool must be capable of connecting to the tool's manufacturer server to be able to request and receive the unlock key from FCA.
A live internet connection must be maintained to the tool as it is connected to the...
Sailorjoe, the fluid as you describe is laden with clutch dust/fur and has lost its friction additives...Drop the fluid ASAP continue to drive XXXX miles and continue fluid change outs until it pretty color. Use Valvoline MAX life fluid. 50K may be to late
CS, 2018 has SGM, I hate the EGR setup on the 3.0VM and its choke this engine to its death.
Regardless of what GDE advertises they cannot avoid detection in 2018+ FCA vehicles.
You can bypass the module but its integrated into the Vehicle so any tempering will be detected. Plus rumor has it...
No Eco, the EPA is on the Hunt, Have you look into what manufacturing delete Kit may cost you $$$$$$$$.
I won't mention names.. But one individual ignore the cease and de-sit order, He was arrested and the court order was like this, Manufacture or produce any defeat or delete tunes for on road...
Also The DEF gauge is somewhat funny in Rams, but just keep a memory of when and How far you drive and guessing works pretty good the ED uses about 1GP 400 miles normal use , pulling it can drop down to 1GP 150-200 miles.... I reset My DEF gauge with WItech often, several Key cycles work also.
This is incorrect and in many cases damaging. The heating element gets hot to melt the DEF (Freezes at 12F) the DEF around the element will separate (Urea) and plugs the DEF Injector..... Keep your DEF tank full when convenient, when it gets down to 2/3 Full 2.5 Gallons fills it.
Owners that...
Yes, if its stop.. I already attempted to do so, in fact even 1/2 hole triggers the code, so 9/32 is the ticket. My guess is you only stop 12-16% of the flow but it better than 100% open.
The whole settle is here https://www.ecodieselsettlement.com/content/dam/fcacourtsettlement/pdf/DOJ_Consent_Decree.pdf
As you read the pages form pages 80 + FCA is NOW ordered to report violations to the EPA, They are also ordered to monitor and implement
.
Subject to standard limitations...
I would delete just like you did......If memory serves Me I believe the MPG is the last 250 miles or so, It re-calibrates....I do agree the ED gets great Mileage.... I have customers with 500K+ miles and 8000+hrs on trucks running factory emissions, So asking the 3.0 to go 200K miles trouble...
