Hello, I sent my paperwork in last spring. I got and email a couple of months later from FCA asking me to do it online so it will be quicker, stating they had a 3 month backlog of mail requests. I did, and they said I was entitled to $990 since I don't own the truck anymore. I bought it with 10K miles, totaled it 10 months later in 2017, and the insurance company paid off in full. I didn't quibble and received the $990 check a couple weeks ago.

After reading through these posts it looks like they may send MORE money later on if nobody else in the ownership line (original owner, also Farmer's Ins.) claims anything. Am I reading that right?

Thanks, Mike, Issaquah, WA

I don't think anyone else (insurance, dealer, etc.) can make a claim other than the original owner. So, if yours was owned (titled) by someone other than the original dealer, they can file a claim. Are you sure that you're not the original owner -those 10K could have been dealer miles (loaner/demo/etc.) Maybe you could do a VIN search to see (there are free ones available.)

I finally received my check. Communication was sporadic and then they said they needed proof from my dealer that the re-flash had been done, even though I sent them the receipt and official confirmation form. Communication stopped after that and my check showed up out of the blue a month ago. Yes, the re-flash was the worst thing ever; my truck was a dangerous dog afterward and it almost got me killed pulling out from a stop sign on a small incline into a slightly blind corner. It took a full 5 seconds for my truck to wake up and start moving, which is completely unacceptable! After that, I purchased a Green Diesel Engineering hot tune kit and I paid the extra cost to keep my original ECU, just in case I needed to take the truck in for service. I was so impressed with the performance improvement that I purchased the transmission tune kit afterward as well. Now my truck is much better than before the re-flash and it cost less than the settlement check. My truck is a 2014, but it only has 30,000 miles on it and I love it, now that it drives like it was meant to! No more dangerous lag waiting to spool up at intersections and plenty of power once underway. It's hard to describe the transmission improvements, but it is significant and very noticeable.

Just got an email from FCA . They are saying that I've never sent in paper work on settlement I mailed it in Notarized months ago These people plain SUCK I will never buy FCA or ram again and tell everyone I can how much they suck
Hopefully you made a copy. I sent a PDF of the form so this wouldn't happen. Their website has a place to do so and then you automatically have a copy in your "sent" folder.

I sent my claim in and after 6 weeks called to ask what was the status. I was told I didn't send in all the info...which I had. So sent it again and continually called. After about 2 weeks I was told the check had been mailed and about 2 weeks later the check arrived. Now getting about 20-21 miles per gallon and can't seem to get any better than that. Turbo lag is horrendus and darn near got t-boned 3 times until I realized this pig of a truck is going to be like that.

You should use part of that check to buy a tune while there are still some available. This forum is full of information on them. With a tune you'll have better than stock performance (pre-AEM)

I was the 2nd owner through a title transfer. Farmer's ended up with the title.

I got mine right away back in early summer I think...June? That part was easy enough however I do agree that my truck’s performance and mpg has really suffered.

Good Evening and Merry Christmas, Happy holiday to all,
I follow this website for information and dont post. BUT. I could not sit still anymore. I had my truck flashed in july, sent in the notorized paperwork with claim# etc. in early August. In October i recieve an email stating they are awaiting my claim. I re-send in october via email again. I start online chat on December 18th to inquire about claim. "Patricia" sees no claim on record and asks if i emailed or snail mail. Told her email. Then gives me a diiferent address than what is on claim website. Make sure you email to this address-

[email protected]

This is ridiculous.

I just visited the Green Diesel Engineering site and every product they offer is sold out. I will try to contact them to see what is up with them. I never had the AEM performed on my truck due to so many comments about how it degraded the performance of the engine. I would like to find a tune product like GDE to upgrade the performance of my truck even though the stock performance is OK.

I think I'm with the others on this is my last FCA vehicle. I sent my rebate form in last May. Finally got a hold of someone in October and ask what the hold up is. Oh you need to send it in over the internet. We are too busy to get to the mailed in ones. Now since October its been pending. Around Thanksgiving, it said an offer had been sent out. However no offer has shown up and they will not answer any emails. Now the next series of uh oh we don't have a clue on how to do things. I have a major recall on the engine might melt down and FCA doesn't have a clue on how to fix it. I cannot trade it due to the major recall. I'm going to end up spending another grand on tires due to I still have to have a usable vehicle. The truck has had 10 recalls so far. I think I need to find a company that test their trucks before releasing them. Does anyone have a telephone number for the rebate center? When they "Extend the offer" the chat line box disappears.

Has anyone received the $3K refund from FCA for emissions issue
Yes! BUT it required a LOT of diligent follow up/calling/retrying to send in the notarized agreement. PERSISTENCE AND DAILY FOLLOW-UP calls to the 800# IS WHAT WORKED. I ended up Succeeding by FAXing my agreement instead of emailing.
——details——
The attachment with my signed/notarized agreement, sent as a pdf did NOT arrive as a PDF, but by some digital muck up was changed to an html file that did not open to anything useful at the firm contracted by FCA to handle agreement communications. This happened with three separate emailings. I have no issue emailing pdf’s elsewhere. FAXing my notarized signed agreement WITH it marked to the attention of my rep was what ultimately worked.

I got on the phone 5 different times to inquire about receipt of my notarized agreement and after the 2nd call when it was obvious that I was doing what each agent requested, I started getting some personal attention to check/assure my sending was received or not.
Lesson 1: know who your agreement rep / handler is. Send your email or fax To Their Attention. IE when I FAX’d one line in the header said. Attention: Elvyn Erickson (substitute their name)
Lesson 2: THE NEXT DAY CALL to verify that your materials WERE received. Ask if everything needed is in hand. If not, ask how you can best submit the document and check for it being received.
Lesson 3: Same as 1 & 2. Genuine and courteously persistence.

I found that when an agent learned I’d sent it in multiple times (and I knew the dates of and what I sent), they went out of their way to help in the process.
Hope that helps.

GDE and many others have been shut down by the EPA. That's why it says sold out.
I had the mod done and I don't see much if anything wrong. It's a little more laggy but not bad at all. maybe I got used to it but I have 119K on mine so I do drive a bunch. No check as yet but according to the website my claim was approved. They certainly are dragging their feet.

Yes I had the fuel rail change via the settlement back in June 2019. Check came within 3 weeks of submitting the repair invoices and paperwork to the settlement site. I purchased this new and still own it so received the full $3075.
